30 Days With Billy

“We cannot, and we must not, isolate ourselves from the world in which we live and the problems it faces…The Gospel of Christ has no meaning unless it’s applied to our fellow man who hurts and is in need. That’s our neighbor, and Jesus said we’re to love our neighbor as ourselves.” - Billy Graham

30 Days With Billy

Speaking of tragedies in our lives, Billy Graham said: “Times like this will do one of two things: They will either make us hard and bitter and angry at God, or they will make us tender and open, and help us reach out in trust and faith. I pray that you will not let bitterness poison your soul, but that you would turn in faith and trust to God, even if we cannot understand. It is far better to face something like this with God’s strength than to face it alone and without Him. My prayer for you today is that you will feel the loving arms of God wrapped around you, and will know in your heart that He will never forsake you as you trust Him.”Billy Graham, speaking at the memorial service for those lost in the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995

Integrity

“Many people ask, what is integrity? It means a person is the same on the inside as he or she claims to be on the outside. A man of integrity can be trusted. He is the same person alone in a hotel room a thousand miles from home as he is at work or in his community or with his family. We have seen the tragic results of moral breakdown and shattered trust in people – from leaders in business and government to well-known sports figures, to husbands, wives, and families and, yes, even the church. The erosion of basic moral and spiritual values seems to be getting more serious at every level of society…It’s easy to point the finger at prominent people accused of corruption. We can easily see their sins and the results. But a careful look reveals that the same poison of self-gratification and greed exists in our hearts as well. We all make decisions based on what we truly believe. Many people today wonder if there is absolute truth. They say there is only perspective, that truth is whatever you perceive it to be; whatever works for you. If that is the case, then there is no right or wrong, only differing opinions, and one is as good as another. But God’s standard is expressed in the Bible, and the ultimate example of that standard is Jesus Christ. Jesus said, ‘You will know the truth and the truth will set you free’ (John 8:32). When we live by this truth, we possess integrity…I believe integrity can be restored to a society one person at a time. The choice belongs to each of us.” - Billy Graham

Everything Changes — Except This

Everything Changes — Except This

By Michael J. Knight

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:83

Jesus Christ never changes. He is an invariable factor in a variable world. He is just the same now as when he walked the shores of Galilee. He has the same kindness, the same power to heal and change people’s lives. He is the same restorer of courage, the same transformer of souls. Anything that he ever did for anyone throughout all history, he can do for you.

“I present a God who matters, and who makes claims on the human race. He is a God of love, grace, and mercy, but also a God of judgment. When we break His moral laws we suffer; when we keep them we have inward peace and joy. I am calling for a revival that will cause men and women to return to their offices and shops to live out the teaching of Christ in their daily relationships. I preach a Gospel not of despair but of hope for the individual, hope for society, and hope for the world.” - Billy Graham

Quote for the day

“Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father but by me.’ On the surface, that seems the most intolerant of statements. Think of any man on the stage of human history claiming to be the supreme embodiment of all psychological, scientific, and religious truth! He was either an egomaniac, a liar, or He was what He claimed to be. By faith I accepted Him for what He claimed to be, the Son of the Living God. That simple decision changed my life – and I have seen it change the lives of countless others across the world.” - Billy Graham

Quote

“I have had the privilege of preaching the gospel on every continent in most of the countries of the world. And I have found that when I present the simple message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with authority, quoting the very Word of God – He takes that message and drives it supernaturally into the human heart.” - Billy Graham
